Whatever the routes into construction, the lack of long term experience in the workplace as an apprentice / trainee is, and remains, the real problem. The barriers are too many and currently too entrenched to get a person from T-level or diploma level to qualified if they cannot continue into long term employment as an apprentice or trainee.
